On the upside, connecting to a Sunshine host is basically instantaneous while GFE as a host needs about 5 to 10 seconds. Moreover my 3070 FE seemed to run quite a bit hotter than usual, again this all might be me not knowing how to configure it correctly. I'll say though I had no idea what I've been doing in the configuration so it might be just a config-error on my part.Īt first I tried leaving everything on AUTO and then tried it with forcing the encoder to be NVENC with the Low Latency preset however that didn't really help. With Sunshine as a host though, while the input seemed instantaneous looking at my monitor but then looking at the Switch the visual latency was quickly very gamebreaking. I tried Sonic Frontiers as my test game, such a game is of course not ideal for streaming but over the past weeks I've played a good bit like that, it was serviceable. To get a little more in depth, Moonlight is mirroring your PC desktop remotely using software created by NVIDIA, simultaneously relaying your controller, keyboard, and/or mouse inputs back to the. not great compared to Nvidia's offering :/ The definition of Malware is as follows: " software which is specifically designed to disrupt, damage, or gain authorized access to a computer system." In this instance, Big Picture disrupts normal gameplay and normal UI without my authorization. I tried Sunshine now and the setup was a bit finicky but in the end I got it to work seamlessly with my CFW Nintendo Switch and Moonlight. DISCLAIMER 1: The whole reason that I classify Big Picture as MALWARE is because there's NO WAY TO GET AROUND IT WHILE THERE SHOULD BE.
